TumblThree

Give TumblThree a Tumblr URL and it will download all the images, audio files, and videos hosted by that Tumblr blog. If you already have a Tumblr blog, you could use TumblThree to download and back up all the content that’s hosted on that blog. And if you don’t have a Tumblr blog, you could use TumblThree to download content from someone else's Tumblr blog.

To get started with TumblThree you will have to download a ZIP archive, extract its contents, and then run the TumblThree executable. Please note that TumblThree doesn’t provide support for Windows XP anymore. If you’re still using Windows XP, you are going to upgrade to something newer if you want to use TumblThree.

Three main panels are presented on TumblThree’s interface. The one to the left lists all the Tumblr blogs that you’ve loaded into the application. The one to the right lists your download queue and presents details about a selected Tumblr blog. Down at the bottom there’s a toolbar with buttons to add a Tumblr blog to the list, remove a Tumblr blog from the list, start the crawling process, open the Settings menu, and more.

TumblThree can download the following from a Tumblr blog: images, videos, audio files, text posts, quote posts, conversation posts, link posts, answer posts, reblogged posts, image meta, video meta, and audio meta. You can choose what TumblThree will download from the Details panel on its interface or from the Settings menu.

Using TumblThree goes something like this. Step 1, enter the Tumblr URL into the box down in the lower left hand corner and click the Add Blog button. Step 2, add the blog to the queue either by using the Add to Queue button or by double clicking the blog. Step 3, click on the Crawl button and let TumblThree complete the download.
